Quilting & Prayer Group

An innovative ministry is our ladies quilting and prayer group. Meeting twice a month, they piece quilts together for people in need.

The quilts are completed by members of the church who tie knots on the quilts. Each knot represents an individual's commitment to pray for the recipient of the quilt. Quilts are gifted to individuals facing health or other trials that need prayer.

Showers and Splashes

A Splash(n): In the past we have only commemorated the 1st baby a family has while attending Cornerstone with a shower. An exception was made when one family finally gave birth to a girl after 4 boys. We knew she had no girl things!

So, these subsequent commemorations will be called “Splashes” rather than showers to distinguish them. They will take on a theme whether it be, the 1st boy after many girls, or 1st girl after many boys. Or, just diapers, pampering Mommy, meals for her to put in her freezer, or maybe even just coupons for her to redeem for services the guests are willing to provide. The rest of it can look pretty much the same as a shower, but scaled down a bit. It can still be done before or after the baby, based on the Mommy’s choice, the church calendar, or both. We’ll forgo the games for these events. A devotional is still paramount.
